The ModTone MT-DS Speedbox is a split bypass boutique style distortion pedal that emulates the tones of a vintage amp or classic overdrive and is housed in a compact all metal box that can take all you dish out!  What may appear as just another fuzzbox is quite different once you hear what the MT-DS can do. It is simply put, a pre-amp in itself! A deliberately simple 3 knob configuration is the gateway to overdrive bliss starting with a custom tailored “Tone” knob that provides just the right amount of sparkle and warmth while still retaining all the crunch and tonal clarity you love without a hint of noise! Next is the “Drive” knob and its truly where the heart of this pedal lies with its custom voiced overdrive circuit and proprietary gain stage setting that allows you the option of getting a delicious overdrive tone from your clean amp or, on your amp's overdrive setting, a thick and creamy lead boost that sustains for days!  Last up is the “Level” control that allows you to select the perfect amount of gain whether you’re style is a touch of the blues or a full out metal blitzkrieg!
