This is a unique stabilized enzyme system that catalyzes the bio-oxidation of body oils, suntan lotions and other organic contaminants. When used at the recommended dosage levels on a regular basis this provides multiple user benefits. Through the bio-oxidation process this breaks down the primary components of the scum ring that forms around the water line of most swimming pools. Now, instead of having to spend hours brushing this unsightly scum ring, you can easily prevent it from forming. The same components that create the scum ring have a chemical oxidizer demand and can cause cloudy water, clog filters and shorten filter runs. By using this, these problems are reduced through the bio-oxidation process so you can continue to enjoy your spa or pool. You will also reduce your chlorine consumption when you break down contaminants with enzymes. Initially add six (6) ounces per 5,000 gallons of pool water and thereafter four (4) ounces per 1,500 gallons per week. If the pool already has a scum ring, you may apply a concentrated dosage to the ring as a scrub. Enzyme Clear can be used 3-5 days before or after shock treatments, but not in conjunction with.
